Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It is written in plain English because that is how I'd want to read it myself.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is The Coaching Den (Julie A Milner), a sole trader based in Rhyl, North Wales. If you have any question about this notice or about your data, email help@thecoachingden.com.

What I collect and why

Contact form and "Work with Julie" enquiries

When you send an enquiry I receive your name, email address, organisation, role and the message you write. I use this to read and reply to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me. Enquiries are kept for 12 months after our last contact, then deleted, unless we are working together.

Resources and book updates sign-up

If you ask to be kept posted about new resources or the next book, I collect your first name and email address. This list is run through MailerLite, who act as my processor and store the data on my behalf. You will be asked to confirm your email address (double opt-in) before you are added. The lawful basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, and your details are then removed. I keep your details on the list until you unsubscribe.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the hosting server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time). These are used only to keep the site secure and working, on the basis of legitimate interests, and are deleted automatically by the host after a short period.

What I don't do

I do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. I do not share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run this site (web hosting, email and MailerLite), who may only use it on my instructions.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies of its own. If Google Analytics 4 is switched on in future, it will run with IP anonymisation and only after you have given consent, and this notice will be updated to say so. Links to YouTube, Amazon and social media take you to those sites, which have their own privacy notices.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how I use it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email help@thecoachingden.com. I will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd be grateful for the chance to put things right first.

Changes

If this notice changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
