Behind the Behaviour

Removing barriers to participation.

Understanding the problem is just the beginning.

People aren't always accessing services, engaging with programmes or getting the opportunities available to them. Sometimes the barriers are obvious. Often, they're not.

The Coaching Den helps organisations and individuals identify and address hidden barriers to participation in enterprise, employment and everyday life. Through specialist consultancy, workshops, training and practical resources, I turn understanding into meaningful change.

My approach is hands-on, collaborative and focused on making things happen.

Does any of this look familiar?

Sometimes good services, programmes and ideas don't work as well as they should. The difficult bit is understanding why.

If you are recognising something here, let's work out the barrier.

How I can help
The problem I solve

Good services don't always reach the people who need them.

Millions of pounds are invested in programmes designed to help people. But sometimes the problem isn't the service itself. It's what happens between the funding, the organisations delivering it and the people it's meant to support.

Here's a real-life example of a possible gap.

A young man struggling with Universal Credit had been sanctioned and couldn't understand how to use the online system. An employment support programme existed that might have helped him, but nobody mentioned it until his family asked.

Was the problem staff awareness, communication, eligibility or the referral process? That's what needs investigating.

That's where I come in.

I help organisations find the missing connections, understand why people aren't accessing support and identify practical changes that make services work better.

Before spending more money creating new solutions, let's make sure the ones we already have are working.
